The long-awaited wildlife park of the UAE, Dubai Safari Park, is now officially open to the public. More than 150,000 visitors have visited the Safari park since it opened last week.

Tim Husband, Dubai Safari’s technical director, said elephants and other animals would soon be living in this park. With over 3500 animals representing 250 species – Dubai Safari is home to the most diverse variety of animal species – in the United Arab Emirates.

The first phase of the 1 billion AED project covers more than 119 hectares land in Al Warqa’a 5, of which 35 are dedicated to an open safari, allowing visitors, to observe wildlife up-close using electric vehicles.

It includes Asian, African and Arabian villages offering a guided safari. 

Safari Village, where visitors can take the guided tour, will be open from morning 9am to 6pm, and tickets will be issued only until 4pm in the eve. The park replaced the fifty-year-old Dubai Zoo in Jumeirah.

Arabian Village – Duration: 20 – 25 min

This is the beginning of your visit to Dubai Safari Park. Here, the tram takes you through the Arabian desert as you pass, and many of these beautiful animals can be seen in captivity. The guide will explain the facts about these creatures, as well as what the Dubai Safari Conservation Team does to help these animals return back to the wild.

Safari Village – Duration: 45 to 55 min

The main attraction of Dubai Safari is the Safari Village Drive through. Here the guests are taken on a discovery trip through Africa and then Asia in one of the convenient buses. You will be accompanied by one of the professionally trained guides that will explain not only what you see but also answer your questions and feed your curiosity with interesting facts.

This village is dedicated to large and small African mammals, from the largest wild mammals in the world, the African elephant to the small meerkats. It also have the largest walk in Dubai in the cage where the valued guests can come in and relax in the world of flying with birds from all over the planet, where the hardest thing here will be to keep track of the number of birds flying around.

The house of reptiles is not every cup of tea, but for those of you to have charm with these cold blooded animals, this house is a must to visit. It did not forget the primates in Africa with two top apes (gorillas and chimpanzees) at the show in both an outdoor exhibition and a large indoor exhibition dominated by the SS.

Explore the Asian Village at Dubai Safari Park UAE

This small village is full of surprises that characterize the only big monkey in Asia. The Orangutan is really the old man of the forest – and happy to sit down and watch the world go by. When you are in Asia, it is hard to miss showing animals in the theater, where you will enjoy and learn about animals and natural behaviors. As with all other parts of Dubai safari park, there are guides to help and answer any questions you might have.

Dubai Safari Park ticket pricing

Tickets can be purchased separately for the Arabian, African and Asian villages of the Open Safari Village for 20 AED for children and 50 AED for adults.

Visitors can also buy a full access ticket to the all four safari parks for a discounted rate of 30 AED for their children and 85 AED for adults.

Note! Children under 3 years as well as adults over 60 years and disabled people will be granted free entry.

In the first year of its operation, Dubai Safari park expects to welcome more than 2M visitors through its doors.
